Villa Ermioni is a fully equipped home for 10 people. It is the summer residence of a Greek family. The villa dates back to the 1880s and is a listed monument. It stands on an estate of olive groves and flowers just across the sea from the village of Ermioni, on the eastern side of the Peloponnese.
There are grand spaces and walking paths throughout the estate, which is looked after by people who have lived on it for generations.
The location suits guests who seek privacy and like to combine visits to the ancient theatre of Epidaurus and other antiquities with trips to the nearby islands of Hydra and Spetses for the nightlife, and with swimming at the beaches of the Peloponnese. It suits beach, family, cultural and sightseeing holidays.
The space
The bedrooms are spacious, with high ceilings, frescoes and period furniture. There are four terraces and open-air dining areas shaded by old pine trees.
- Upper floor: one double bedroom, two twin bedrooms, one single bedroom and a bathroom
- Ground floor: one double bedroom, one single bedroom, a bathroom, a large kitchen, a living room and a dining room
Guest access
Guests have access to the whole villa.
Interaction with guests
A housekeeper is on hand to help guests with anything that comes up during their stay. A cleaning service and a change of linen are provided every two days. Transport, cooking and supplies can be arranged on request.
The neighbourhood
Ermioni has around 3,000 permanent residents and offers banks, a post office, ATMs, doctors, dentists, pharmacies, a physiotherapist, a tourist office (where cars can also be hired), real estate offices, taxis, buses to Kranidi and Kosta, shops, supermarkets, a beauty salon, hairdressers, cafes, bars and tavernas.
Several well-known hotels, including Amanzoe, Nikki Beach and Barceló, are in the wider area.
A weekly farmers' market is held in Ermioni on Thursday mornings only, from 07:30 to 13:00. It sells fresh fruit, fish, clothing, footwear, handicrafts and household items.
Summers in Ermioni are hot and sunny. Autumns are warm and mostly dry, with clear blue skies.
